Engr Ralph. Oyewole Adekahunsi was born on the 27th Feb.1958
He is an alumnus of great schools like Christ School Ado Ekiti, Ibadan Polytechnic and the University of Ile Ife now called Obafemi Awolowo University.
He is a full-stack engineer with experience as an Electronics Engineer in the Electronic Workshop in the Central Instrumentation and Control Dept of the Delta Steel Company (DSC) Aladja, Warri, Delta State between 1982 and 1984.
He then moved to the National Electric Power Authority (NEPA), now TCN where he supervised the following projects:
• Delta IV Power Station, at Ughelli Power Station 6 X 100 MW Generators completed with switchyards connecting to 330kv National Grid.
• AJAH 2 X 150Mva 330/132/33Kv Indoor Switchyard Transmission Station.
• 60MW 132/33Kv Transformer at Ayede Transmission Ibadan.
He worked in various management capacities in the following substations from 1984-1994.
• Ayede 330KV Substation.
• Ayede 132KV Substation.
• Jericho 132KV Substation.
• Ibadan North 132KV Substation
• Iseyin 132KV Substation
• Sagamu 132KV Substation
• Ijebu Ode 132KV Substation
He retired voluntarily from the Ayede Substation Ibadan to start his private company, Q-tech Nigeria Limited in 1994, where he designed, fabricated and manufactured products such as Electrical Surge Protectors, Voltage Stabilisers with SURGE protection, Solar System/Inverters, TRIPPING UNITS/CHARGERS and DC Regulated Power Supplies, AUDIO Amplifiers/Mixers.
Engr Oye Adekahunsi’s passion is creating technology that goes beyond solving your business/domestic problems but also gives you pleasure as it meets your needs. He loves to find solutions to the problems in his immediate environment.
In 2015, he retired as the CEO and of ‘Q-tech’ and handed over to his son. Engineer Oye Adekahunsi still sits as the Chairman of Q-tech Nigeria and still gives technical advisory to the company.
